Real-Time Diamond Simulation

BRILLIANI LABS

Beyond Brilliant

The first tool that lets you actually experience the Four Cs in real time, instead of reading numbers off a certificate. View brilliance, fire, scintillation and light return across a range of real-world scenarios.

Interactive Demo

Move a grade. Watch the light answer.

This is the simulator itself, trimmed to a single report card. Set the Colour, Clarity and Cut grades, and the stone and its light-return map respond as you do. Drag the stone to rotate and tilt it.

direct indirect low leakage

The Light Return window is a face-up map of the light coming back out of the crown. Red is light returned straight to the eye, green arrives indirectly, blue is weak, and dark areas leak out of the pavilion. Watch leakage grow as the Cut grade drops.

The Lab · Four Tools

Four tools. One light source. Zero doubt.

The whole lab runs on one physics-accurate light engine. Get a feel for the light, build the full grading report, weigh two stones against each other, then verify what you're really looking at.

Simulator Flagship

The grading report, made visible.

Build and adjust a full diamond grading report in real time, for a natural, lab-grown or moissanite stone. Every parameter, from the Four Cs to proportions, fluorescence, polish, symmetry and inscriptions, updates the stone as you edit.

Compare

See the difference.

Two stones, one light source. Put any two gems side by side and rotate them in sync. You control what goes into each slot.

Diamond Testing

Know what you're looking at.

Run the same spectroscopic and imaging checks gem labs use: UV fluorescence, phosphorescence, growth patterns, strain imaging, FTIR and PL spectra. Get an AI verdict, and toggle between natural, CVD and HPHT in real time.

Run the tests →

Compare

An educated customer makes a confident choice.

The comparison tool puts two diamonds side by side: the jeweller demonstrates the difference in quality, the customer experiences it, in 3D. Once it makes sense, the choice makes itself.

Because the hardest part behind the counter is explaining the Four Cs to someone who's never seen a grading scale.

Frequently asked

The questions behind the counter.

The things jewellers, gemologists and curious clients ask most, about the Four Cs, light return, and what the simulator can and can't tell you.

What are the Four Cs of a diamond?

The Four Cs are cut, colour, clarity and carat, the characteristics used to describe a diamond's quality. Cut measures how well the stone is proportioned and how it returns light; colour grades how near-colourless it is, from D to Z; clarity grades its inclusions, from Flawless to Included; and carat is its weight. Brilliani Labs lets you change each of the Four Cs and watch the optical result update in real time.

What's the difference between brilliance, fire and scintillation?

Brilliance is the white light a diamond returns; fire is the dispersion of that light into spectral colours; and scintillation is the play of flashes and sparkle as the stone, the light or the viewer moves. A well-cut diamond balances all three. The simulator shows each of them responding live as you adjust the stone and the lighting.

What is light return in a diamond?

Light return describes how much of the light entering a diamond is reflected back to your eye, rather than leaking out of the sides or bottom. It is governed mainly by the cut, meaning the angles and proportions of the facets. Brilliani Labs visualises light return as a live colour map, so you can see where a stone is performing and where it is leaking. This is our own educational visualisation; it is not the ASET® tool.

Does Brilliani Labs work for lab-grown diamonds?

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically and optically the same material as a mined diamond, so it follows the same physics of cut, colour, clarity and carat. The simulator models the diamond itself, regardless of origin, which makes it useful for explaining lab-grown stones and contrasting them with simulants such as moissanite and cubic zirconia.

Is Brilliani Labs a diamond grading report or certificate?

No. Brilliani Labs is an educational simulation, not a grading report, and its Light Return map is not ASET®. For an authoritative grade, rely on an official report from a laboratory such as IGI, GIA or AGS. The tool is built to help you understand and explain what those reports describe, not to replace them.

Do I need to install anything to use the simulator?

No installation, app or plugin. Brilliani Labs runs entirely in a modern web browser using WebGL2, on a computer, tablet or phone. It is designed for the jewellery counter, so you can show a customer a diamond in 3D in seconds.

Who is Brilliani Labs for?

It is built for jewellers and custom setters at the point of sale, for gemologists and diamond educators, and for anyone learning how the Four Cs translate into how a diamond actually looks. Instead of reading numbers off a certificate, you and your customer see the difference.
